When Scotland and England play each other in the Calcutta Cup, rugby fans travelling to and from Murrayfield this weekend can look forward to some great deals on travel thanks to Edinburgh’s acclaimed tramway.

Alongside the return of the ever-popular ‘Rugby Return’ tickets, which cost £3.80 for adults and £1.90 for children, Edinburgh Trams is also offering savings for both sets of fans planning a longer stay in the city.

Priced from just £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s, the ‘City Multi-Day’ tickets allow unlimited tram travel between Ingliston Park & Ride and Newhaven, including Murrayfield tram stop, for three, four, or five consecutive days.

For anyone flying into the city for the legendary fixture, ‘Airport Multi-Day’ tickets are also available on edinburghticket.com, which include one return journey to and from the airport from as little as £18 for adults and £9 for children.

Families travelling together can also save money by investing in a ‘Family Day Tripper Ticket’, which enables up to two adults and three children to travel for just £8.

All tickets can either be printed out or downloaded onto a smart device, ready for checking by Edinburgh Trams’ friendly team.

Nicola Mearns, the operator’s Assistant Marketing Manager, commented:

One of the highlights of the Six Nations tournament, the Calcutta Cup attracts tens of thousands of fans to the home of Scottish rugby, and we want to help them make the most of their visit to Edinburgh.

By offering them both flexibility and value for money during their stay we hope they will enjoy a weekend to remember, both on and off the field.
