Six Nations rugby is set to return to Edinburgh this weekend, and the city’s tram network has lined up a great travel offer that’s sure to prove a winner with fans.

As the city looks forward to hosting Guinness Six Nations Championship matches at the BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh Trams has announced the return of its popular Rugby Return tickets.

Priced from just £1.80 for under 16s and £3.40 for adults, they offer excellent value-for-money and, for added convenience, they can be printed out or easily downloaded onto a smart device to show the operator’s friendly staff.

The Rugby Return tickets have gone on sale ahead of the eagerly awaited clash between Scotland and Wales, which kicks off at 4.45 pm on Saturday, February 11.

Lea Harrison, the tram operator’s Managing Director, commented:

Murrayfield has been the setting for so many epic rugby matches, and this year’s Six Nations games promise to match the excitement of previous years.

At Edinburgh Trams, we’re committed to making sure fans are able to make the most of the occasion by helping them to enjoy inexpensive and convenient travel to and from the ground on match days.

We’ll also be boosting  service frequency to every three minutes before and after the final whistle. So, travelling to and from Murrayfield by tram couldn’t be easier!

On the day, Edinburgh’s roads will be extremely busy. However, anyone travelling by car from outside the city can avoid the hassle and expense of finding a parking spot near the stadium by parking at our Ingliston Park & Ride facility, which has plenty of free spaces, before completing their journey by tram.
